This Process Triage™ Workflow Map will help you plan and monitor a public accounting audit (in the United States), from the auditor's view.

The triage effort came out of a conversation with my CPA daughter when she faced a promotion to audit project manager and welcomed a process illustration to plan and coach with.

Picture of RoseyWe mapped the audit engagement model and performed triage exams targeted for good process control, such as noting all external deliverales (blue circles) and what's needed from the client and when it's needed. We added a budgeting template for each milestone, and noted two risk of failure points that require project manager attention.

We then had the map peer reviewed by an audit manager of a different, but similar sized accounting firm. It received good marks.
